BD-S

Microsoft practice ยท AI & Copilot

Build your frontier organisation with Microsoft Copilot and agents

A frontier organisation is one where people work alongside AI assistants and agents to get everyday work done better. BD-S connects your people, organisational knowledge and business systems through Microsoft AI, from identifying valuable opportunities to deploying Copilot and agents, supporting adoption and managing risk.

Business outcomes

Start with work worth improving

The best place to start is work that already costs time, not a technology. BD-S helps you find those opportunities and rank them by value, feasibility and risk, so the first thing you deploy is worth deploying.

Finding trusted information

Staff spend hours searching policies, procedures, case notes and past decisions. Copilot and agents grounded in approved sources answer from the right content with permissions respected.

Preparing documents and submissions

Briefs, submissions, correspondence, reports and meeting summaries drafted from your own material, then reviewed and finished by the person responsible.

Supporting service teams

Case summaries, suggested responses, next-step guidance and knowledge at hand for contact centre, service desk and front-line staff.

Automating repeatable processes

Intake, triage, classification, data entry and routine follow-up handled by agents, with people approving the steps that need judgement.

What we deliver

Microsoft AI capabilities

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Assistance inside Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, licensed per user. BD-S backs it with tenant readiness, role-based use cases, training, champions and measurement so it changes how work gets done.

Copilot Studio agents

Agents grounded in your organisational knowledge, with approved actions and governed connections to business systems, published where people already work.

Microsoft Agent 365: visibility and control

BD-S helps you establish visibility and control over your AI agents using Microsoft Agent 365 and connected Microsoft services. Define ownership, review access, manage agent lifecycles and monitor activity as adoption grows.

Dynamics 365

AI-assisted sales, customer service and operational workflows where you already run them in Dynamics 365, with Copilot features confirmed against your licences.

Azure AI and Microsoft Foundry

Custom AI applications and engineering on Microsoft Foundry (formerly Azure AI Foundry), Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search for requirements beyond packaged capabilities.

Data and security foundations

Permissions, sensitivity labels, information protection, data quality and governance in Entra, Purview and SharePoint, so what AI can see is what it should see.

Built into delivery

Governance, cyber security and cost control

Scaling AI means knowing which agents are operating, what they can access, who is accountable and what they cost. BD-S helps establish the controls and ongoing oversight needed to expand with confidence. Platform controls are configured in your tenant. Assessment, reporting and reviews are BD-S services.

Agent governance

Know which agents exist, who owns each one and what it is allowed to do, with a register that stays current as teams build more.

  • Every agent has an accountable owner and an approved purpose
  • Permitted actions and knowledge sources are set before release, with human oversight where agents act
  • Unused or unowned agents are flagged, reviewed and retired

Cyber security and data protection

Agents get the same identity, information protection and threat monitoring discipline as your people, through Microsoft Entra, Purview and Defender.

  • Least-privilege access and agent identities, so agents only reach what their users may
  • Sensitive information stays protected by labels and data loss prevention
  • Security testing before release, then threat monitoring and an incident plan that covers agents

Cost and consumption management

See what Copilot and agents cost, who is consuming it and whether the spend is earning its keep.

  • Licensing matched to the use cases that need it, with unused licences and capacity removed
  • Configure consumption monitoring, budgets, alerts and supported per-agent monthly limits across your billing arrangements
  • Costs attributed to teams or use cases so owners can see what they spend

Value and ongoing assurance

Scaling is a decision made on evidence. The success measures agreed for each pilot carry into operation, so you can see whether the value holds as usage and spend grow.

  • Adoption, output quality, turnaround and rework tracked against the baseline for each use case
  • Cost per useful outcome reported, so a busy agent and a valuable agent are not confused
  • Permissions, agent behaviour and spending reviewed on a schedule and whenever requirements change

Licensing and configuration notes

  • Agent 365: the agent registry and basic governance actions come with Microsoft 365 Enterprise plans. Policy templates, observability, tool controls and the Entra, Purview and Defender agent features need Microsoft 365 E7 or the Agent 365 add-on. BD-S confirms what your licences and environment include before the design relies on it.
  • Copilot Credits: Copilot Studio agents consume credits from prepaid packs or pay-as-you-go through an Azure subscription. Consumption reporting and per-agent monthly limits are managed in the Power Platform admin centre.
  • Azure budgets and alerts notify you when actual or forecast spend passes a threshold. They do not stop consumption, so cost oversight is a routine rather than a setting.

How BD-S helps

From strategy through to ongoing support

  • Advisory

Use-case discovery, prioritisation by value, feasibility and risk, readiness and licensing assessment and a roadmap.

  • Engineering

Copilot extensions, Copilot Studio agents and custom AI applications built, tested and documented to production standard.

  • Integration

Agents and AI services connected to Dynamics 365, Dataverse, Microsoft 365 content and line-of-business systems through approved actions.

  • Governance and security

Assessment of your agent, identity, data protection and threat monitoring posture, then the controls implemented in Agent 365, Entra, Purview and Defender with reporting configured for the people who own the risk.

  • Adoption

Training, champions, prompt patterns and communications so new ways of working take hold.

  • Managed services

Monitoring, support and knowledge refresh for Copilot and agents, plus scheduled reviews of permissions, agent behaviour, licences and consumption with optimisation delivered from the managed service.

How BD-S delivers

A practical progression, with people in the loop

  1. Step 1: Discover and prioritise

Workshops with the people doing the work to find candidate use cases and rank them by value, feasibility and risk.

  2. Step 2: Assess readiness

Data, permissions, security and licensing reviewed against the shortlist, with remediation before anything is switched on.

  3. Step 3: Pilot with measures

A focused solution for one team or process, with success measures, test sets and human review points agreed up front.

  4. Step 4: Deploy and embed

Staged rollout, training and support so the new way of working becomes the normal way of working.

  5. Step 5: Monitor and improve

Usage, quality and risk reviewed on a cadence, with the next use cases picked from the evidence.

Bring us a workflow, not a wish list

Tell us about one process, team or business challenge where time is being lost. We will help you work out whether Copilot, an agent or a custom AI service is the sensible first step, and what it would take to get there safely.
